As we know, cashew trees in Vietnam grow very fast and have been included in the structure of forestry crops since the 1980s. By 1990, it had become a long-standing industrial tree for export, capable of growing on many types of soil in the southeast, including the lowland Central Highlands, the South Central Coast, and some highland areas in the Mekong Delta. Vietnam's export market continued to expand more in 2022. While the United States, European Union countries, and China continued to be important markets for Vietnamese cashew nuts, Vietnam also concentrated on new markets in Africa, the Middle East, and Asia.
